How to use Hot and Cold Packs?

Hot and cold packs are commonly used by athletes, as an alternative not to take medication for pain relief. The packs are reusable, durable, flexible and practical, which are filled with soft non-toxic gel.

How to use the packs as heat therapy; the packs need to be boiled for approximately 20 minutes. They are also microwaveable.

To use the packs as cold therapy, they need to be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.

Hot Therapy

Applying the hot packs cause the blood vessels to open wide and promotes blood circulation. In addition, the hot packs decrease the muscle spasms, relaxes the tension of the muscles and relieves aches and pains.

Use the hot packs as heat therapy for 20-30 minutes.

Cold Therapy

The cold packs help with injured tissues by reducing the blood flow. Also, they prevent and reduce the swelling of muscle spams and inflamation. In addition, numbing the area helps to relieve the pain.

Use the cold packs as cold therapy for 10-15 minutes.

Hot and cold packs come in different sizes i.e. small, medium and large, which can cover and treat most areas of the body.

Suitable areas for using the hot and cold packs are: Head, Shoulder, Knees, Ankles, Elbows, Back.
